Dosa is a very popular and easy breakfast menu .I know most of you will be thinking why I am posting dosa batter recipe. Many of my north Indian friends have been asking about grinding dosa batter at home rather than buying packet from the market .If batter is ready in the fridge, you don't have to worry about breakfast during morning rush hours.And you will be happy too that kids are going to school having a healthy breakfast. You can grind the batter during weekends or when ever you are free. 

Ingredients

Raw Rice/Dosa Rice   _ 1 cup        
Cooked rice                _ 1 tbsp
Fenugreek /  Methi        _ 1/4 tsp.    
Urad Dal                     _  1/2 cup
    
Wash and soak rice and Urad dal with fenugreek separately for 2-3 hours .
Grind with water in mixer .
Add salt and leave it to ferment for about 8 hours.

           
Heat tawa and pour about 2 ladles of batter and spread the batter .Add ghee or butter and cook the dosa .


Serve hot immediately with sambar or chutney.
