Peas Paratha Recipe

Parathas are my favourite for breakfast and for packing in lunch boxes too. 
In a busy weekday planning the breakfast menu is very important. Sharing a recipe here which you can prepare on those weekdays if you have not planned your breakfast menu.This peas parathas are perfect for packing to school or offices too.





Ingredients

Dough   
  •   Wheat Flour       _  2 cups
  •   Water and salt    _  as needed

Green Peas Filling
  •    Frozen Green Peas  _ 1and 1/4 cup
  •    Potato                      _ 1 medium size
  •    Ginger and Garlic   _  1/2 tsp (Crushed)
  •    Cumin/Jeera            _  1/2 tsp         
  •    Garam masala         _  1/2 tsp
  •    Coriander leaves.     _  1 tbsp(finely chopped)
  •    Oil                           _  1 tbsp
  •    Salt                          _  as needed




Dough

1. Make dough mixing flour with salt and water .          


 2.Keep the dough aside.

 3.In a pressure cooker cook green peas and potato just sprinkling 1 tbsp water and adding salt for 1 whistle.


4.Once it cool down remove excess water if any and grind the green peas coarsely.Mash the potato and keep aside.



5.In a kadai heat oil, add jeera when it sizzles and crushed garlic ,ginger .Then add mashed potato, coarsely ground peas with salt and garam masala .Mix well and cook to evaporate water if any .(make the filling dry.).Add coriander leaves.



 6. Divide the dough into small balls.

7.Roll the balls ,keep the filling inside .



8.Now cover the filling and roll the dough again .

9.Cook the rolled parathas on both sides.


10.Serve hot with curd or pickle.
