Tawa pulao is a famous Mumbai street food .It is an easy rice item which you can quickly prepare on tawa .I came across this recipe in Tarladalal's cook book.Now I started making this pulao often.

*You can prepare this recipe with left over rice too.
*Once the chopping is done ,pulao gets ready in minutes.
*Do not over cook the vegetables.Its should be crispy .
*Add any veggies of your choice.
* I have used beans,carrot ,capsicum,green peas,paneer.You can include baby corn ,cauliflower,potatoes.
*I did fry paneer before and kept aside .
Ingredients
Cooked Rice _ 4 cupsOnion _ 1 medium Size
Mixed Vegetables _ 1 cup
Tomato _ 1 Medium Size
Ginger Garlic(crushed)_ 2 tsp
Green Chilly _ 3
Pav Bhaji Masala _ 4 tsp
Turmeric powder _1/2 tsp
Chilly powder(optional) _1 tsp
Lemon Juice _ 4 tsp
Salt _ as needed
To Temper
Ghee_ as neededCumin seeds _ 1 tsp
Bay leaves _ 1
Hing _ 1/4 tsp
1.Soak rice and fry in 1/2 tsp butter and cook.As the rice is getting cooked chop vegetables.
2.In a tawa add butter bay leaves ,cumin seeds and hing.Then add onion,ginger ,garlic, saute till onion turns golden brown in colour.
3.Add chopped tomato and cook. Add chopped vegetables with salt .Let the vegetables get cooked .
As the vegetables get cooked add fried paneer, Pav Bhaji masala and mix well.
