Pan Cake Recipe / How to make pancakes

Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes were probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies 😲.(source wikipedia).Pancakes are made with mixing milk, sugar , egg, butter and baking powder with all purpose flour.Variations can be made with toppings and fillings.
Sunday means its international cuisine day at my home. So thought of making pancakes this weekend instead of the regular sandwiches. Pancakes are perfect for a lazy morning breakfast or any time of the day. 

Preparation Time : 8 min
Cooking Time : 10 min
Makes : about medium size 8 pancakes

*Make your that the milk and butter are in room temperature. Or else lumps would be formed and cakes won't come out well.
*If needed you can microwave the butter and milk for 10 sec (separately).
*Do not add more milk, the batter should be of thick consistency.
*Beat the egg lightly and then add milk and butter.
*Mix the dry and wet ingredients separately and add the egg mixture to the dry ingredients.
*Do not over mix the batter.

Ingredients

All purpose flour/Maida _ 1 cup
Powdered Sugar _ 2 tbsp
Baking Powder _ 1&1/2 tsp
Salt _ a pinch 
Milk _ 1 cup
Butter _ 2 tbsp+ as needed for spreading on pancakes
Vanilla essence _ 1 tsp
Honey _ as needed


1.In a large bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and powdered white sugar.

2.In a separate bowl lightly beat egg ,whisk together the egg, milk, and melted butter. Now add the egg mixture to dry ingredients and stir the batter to mix well. 


3.In a frying pan or tawa pour about 1/4 cup of batter.
4.Bubbles start appearing on the pancakes as it gets cooked.(optional:Drizzle some butter if needed). Turn over and cook for a minute.

5.Serve by spreading butter and honey on pancakes.
