Parippu curry with Coconut / Kerala style Dal Curry / Onam Sadya Recipe

Ingredients

Yellow Moong Dal _ 1 cup
Turmeric Powder  _  1/4 tsp
Salt  _  as needed

To Grind

  Coconut  _  1/4 cup 
  Jeera/Cumin  _  1/4 tsp
  Green Chilly  _   2
  Shallot(optional, I have not used in this recipe) _ 1

To Temper


   Coconut Oil  _  1/2 tsp
   Mustard   _  1/2 tsp
   Red Chilly  _  1
   Curry Leaves  _  few

In a pressure cooker add 1/2 cup dal with water, turmeric powder and salt. Pressure cook for 2-3 whistle and mash dal.



2. Grind the ingredients 'to grind ' in a mixer bowl and add the dal.

                                                                              



3.Now in a small frying pan heat coconut oil in medium flame add the ingredients under 'to temper'.
Finally add 1/2 tsp ghee.
