Semiya / Vermicelli upma is a easy option for breakfast. I make this upma when I run out of batter. It's a good option for lunch box too. If you have chopped vegetables stored in the refrigerator this can be prepared in no time.
* I have used roasted vermicelli for this recipe. If using unroasted lightly fry in 1 tbsp of ghee or butter till it turns a light brown colour.
*You can use frozen green peas also with the vegetables.
*Cooking vermicelli in boiling water and straining will make it fluffy.
*Mix well the veggies and semyia or else semiya won't get the proper flavour as masala and salt will not be evenly coated with semiya.
